OPERASCOUT COMMUNITY
The opera world is highly competitive, requiring young singers to possess both talent and a solid strategy for building a career after graduation. It can be daunting for singers to know where to begin. At OPERASCOUT, we're establishing a community with comprehensive resources to guide them through their early career paths and help them gain entry into theaters. Our community offers invaluable tips and tricks on auditioning, salary expectations, networking advice, and all aspects related to advancing their careers.
OPERASCOUT AGENCY
We actively search out the best young talent at America's universities and Young Artist Programs and help them connect to our wide network of casting directors and stage directors in the German opera world. We carefully select our roster of top talent and coach them in the field of auditioning, salary negotiations, diction, and everything that is needed to kick start their careers.
The founders
Our founders are Michael Pegher, Dodo Husmann, and Jared Ice. Michael and Jared are both professional opera singers from the US who have been in the German theater system for over a decade. They understand what a theater is looking for in a singer and can prepare young students for their careers at a German opera house. Dodo brings in a decade of experience in the corporate business world, having specialized in sales and marketing. Together, this trio is aiming to help young opera singers shed light on the daunting task of becoming a professional singer.
